"Thank you so much for this wonderful product! I am usually very adventurous about do it yourself projects, but I have been very hesitant about muraling my son's room and making a mess of it. We have textured walls and I was worried about that too, but I used brushes for everything and it worked out fine. With your template as my guide, I got braver and braver and changed the layout to fit the room and furniture, changed the colors to match the bedding, and added lots of extra things to personalize it. I actually made the ENTIRE ROOM the map and cut the mural into pieces. I had a blast! It was easy and really fun.
Everyone who sees it raves about it and best of all , my son has a magical room to grow up in! NOTE: Check out the treasure chest - it's hiding in the closet!

"I painted the Jungle Story Mural in my son’s nursery before he was born. I started in my first trimester and was finished a couple months before he was born. It was great to do during my nesting stage. He is now 7 months old and loves to look at all the animals and the colors. I would recommend EOTW to anyone who would like to customize thier childs room. "I actually recently finished our pirate mural and it turned out GREAT. Everyone who sees it loves it and I have told several people about your site. I tell everyone if you can color in a coloring book and stay in the lines, you can paint these murals. It took me about a month and a half to finish b/c I could only work on it one hour a day at the most during my daughter's nap time. The room was actually hunter green originally, so I painted a white primer square on the wall and then painted the blue before I put the mural up and traced it. It seemed to work much easier. Once the blue was painted, I put the mural up and traced it and then painted the rest. I also made little pirate skulls for the border to go around the rest of the three walls. We love it and it will be something he can keep for a long time." |

"When I first saw this mural I knew it was the perfect thing for my children's bedroom. My 2 1/2 year old son and 1 1/2 year old daughter share a bedroom so I needed something that was both gender neutral and not too "baby" so they could enjoy it for awhile. I expanded the design by adding some different background colors to it. I also created one big mural that flowed all the way around the room by placing different elements of the mural on each of the walls. I am so happy with the end result. My kids love it too. They really enjoy all the colors and different images around the room. I tell everyone I can about Elephants on the Wall and all of the great murals that they have.

"I'm attaching a photo of the mural... In response to your question about what parts my 5 year old helped with-- she did quite a lot- I colored the HUGE sections like the tree leaves and the tree trunk- I gave her free range to paint whatever else she wanted- she did the kids' clothing and bodies, the grass on the ground (our addition), the steps to the clubhouse, flowers, etc...The thinner lines like the ropes or the dots for the children's eyes, I took care of. We used our own colors and she even mixed colors together on a plate to get exactly what she wanted. It would have looked more "perfect" if I did the whole thing but she really enjoyed doing it and it is for a playroom so I don't really care if she painted the kids legs AND their feet orange. Thanks again for a great product... we are still debating over which to do next." |

"It came out wonderful and I am soo pleased with the final product!!
I broke the mural up a bit, so that I could paint it in a few different sections of the room.
While I think it would be much easier to paint on a light wall, (had to give the white of the zebra and the giraffe, etc., about four coats of paint)
I think it looks really cool on a dark green background....more jungle like.
I had a great time painting.....only warning, being almost 8 months pregnant, it was hard to paint the parts near the bottom of the wall ~ the big belly gets in the way ~ so I would recommend getting some help with those sections!
It definitely kept me busy and it was soo much fun to paint!!
I will definitely recommend your site to other mothers who are looking for something different to 'spice-up' their baby or kids rooms.

"I wanted to thank you for making such a great mural design and kit. It’s perfect for our little boy who came into the world just last week!
We used the Americana paints. As you can see, we mostly stuck to the original design and colors. The baby blue and green took 3 bottles each to cover consistently. All the other colors were done with a single bottle easily. I found that the red and the orange were too translucent to cover well, so I gave it three coats and that was as best as I could make it. Adding white to the color didn’t seem to help at all. All the others took 2 coats to cover well.
I found your instructions very easy to follow and guide me through the process. But, I was new to painting so I had to get familiar with the types of equipment. I got the best results from using a starter set that included fine tip to 1” size brushes. Rolling the paint wasn’t effective, nor using any brush prone to shedding. And cleaning with water periodically was a must. If you were to include a getting started with painting, I would mention some of these details.
Once I got the ball rolling, I spent the next several weeks off and on doing the painting. It did take a lot longer than I expected. I didn’t allow my wife to help for fear of having two different painting styles visible. That, and she was as much as 6-7 mo pregnant during the painting.

"I had such a wonderful time creating the mural. The panels were fantastic to create a wrap around effect in the corner. I didn't want to lose the hippo behind the crib so i extended out the greenery so the hippo could be seen. Very easy to do by tracing some of the greenery from different panels. I ended up not using the whole menagerie simply because I have a small room but hopefully will be able to use them somewhere else in the future. When I showed my friends the finished product, they were in awe. My sister asked that I paint one for her as well and I simply said, "well... it's paint by number -- you could do it!" They are all very impressed and I am tickled yellow that we have a happy place for our new bundle when he arrives.

"I was afraid in the beginning that I might have been in over my head but once I got started it was so easy. I had a hard time stopping. My husband jokes that I left one corner blank, don't I want to fill it in with something. I did change a few colors just to mix things up a bit. I got brave and added a second clown using the ringmaster template. I shortened his legs, changed the clothing pattern and colors and put some balloons in his hand. This was so much fun! I've given your name to everyone I know with kids. Everyone should do this. My twins love playing in their new room. Its fabulous!!" |

I turned on the music and within a weekend I was done with the doorhuggers. The mural took me two weekends because by the time I started that one I was already about 8 and a half months pregnant, but with patience I was finally able to finish it.
